WCS 2026 Is Over. Voucher Pre-Sale for the World Championships in Brno Begins.

This year’s edition brought several major innovations. After three years at Letná, the event moved to Štvanice Island, where two separate competition areas were created. The boulder venue was located in the park, while lead climbing took place on the tennis centre court with a monumental 17-metre-high climbing wall.

The addition of lead climbing made Adam Ondra’s return to the domestic stage possible. The Czech climbing legend reached the final in his first appearance on Štvanice and finished in an excellent fifth place.

THE WORLD'S BEST CLIMBERS DELIVERED

Japan’s Sorato Anraku claimed victory in the men’s boulder competition, building on outstanding performances in both qualification and semifinal rounds to secure his first-ever Prague title.

The men’s lead competition produced a historic moment. Indonesian climber Putra Tri Ramadani became the first athlete from his country to win a World Cup event in a discipline other than speed climbing.

The biggest star of the weekend, however, was Annie Sanders. The 18-year-old American first won Saturday’s boulder competition before adding victory in lead climbing a day later. She became only the fourth athlete in the history of the sport to win two disciplines at the same World Cup event.

THOUSANDS OF FANS ON-SITE AND WATCHING AT HOME

World Climbing Series Prague 2026 once again demonstrated the growing popularity of sport climbing in the Czech Republic. A total of 15,869 spectators attended the event over five days.

Hundreds of thousands more followed the action through Czech Television. The live broadcasts and studio coverage reached a total audience of 840,000 viewers.

The event also generated significant interest on social media. The @worldclimbingseriesprague Instagram profile alone recorded more than 11.5 million impressions. Watch the official AFTERMOVIE from the event.

A NEW MASCOT FOR CZECH CLIMBING

This year’s event also saw the unveiling of a new mascot for Czech climbing – a salamander, which will play a key role in the communication campaign for the 2027 IFSC Climbing and Para Climbing World Championships in Brno.

The World Championships, scheduled to take place from 13 to 21 August 2027, represent another major milestone for Czech climbing. Compared to World Climbing Series Prague, the event will feature the full range of disciplines – boulder, lead, speed climbing and para climbing.

This year’s World Climbing Series Prague also served as an important test event ahead of one of the most significant sporting events the Czech Republic will host in the coming years.

VOUHCER PRE-SALE FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BRNO NOW OPEN

Fans can already secure their place at the 2027 IFSC Climbing and Para Climbing World Championships in Brno. We are launching the sale of vouchers, which can be exchanged for specific championship tickets later this autumn.

A limited number of vouchers are available: 1,000 vouchers for Boulder and 1,000 vouchers for Lead, both in Category 1. The pre-sale will run only until the end of June or until all vouchers are sold out.

Voucher holders will be able to select their exact seat in the arena during the autumn, before tickets become available to the general public. This gives them priority access to some of the best seats in the venue.

The detailed competition schedule has not yet been finalized. If, after the schedule is published, the competition dates do not suit a voucher holder, a ten-day refund period will be announced during which purchased vouchers may be refunded.
